Restorative yoga facilitates the recalibration of our nervous systems. It shifts us from an often dull but constant state of stress (our sympathetic or fight/flight/freeze response), towards a more healing and integrative state (our parasympathetic or rest & digest response).

This practice is ideal for processing and releasing the stress of modern life. In this way, restorative yoga can be helpful to everyone and is an accessible practice for students of all levels of experience or fitness.

You will learn what makes restorative yoga such a powerful practice, exploring the effects of restorative yoga on the nervous system and its ability to help combat anxiety and stress and improve physical and mental health. The training will explore how the practice can help us listen deeply to uncover our true nature and how teachers can help facilitate this.

The course is suitable for qualified yoga teachers, teacher trainees and practitioners who want to deepen their knowledge of restorative yoga.
