50 Hour Yoga Foundation Course
Meeting once a month in person on a Sunday. The yoga foundation course is ideal to help develop your practice and deepen your knowledge. After completion of the yoga foundation course, you may wish to consider applying for our 200-hour yoga teacher training course.
What's involved in the foundation course?

1) Asana (postures) - We will be exploring some key postures that are essential for the practice, including how to modify, build strength and flexibility.
​
2) Pranayama (Breath) - Introduction to building a regular pranayama practice and understanding the techniques.
​
3) Yoga Philosophy - An introduction to Patanjali's Yoga Sutras & a few other great yogic philosophy texts.
​
4) Meditation - Building on a meditation practice with guided techniques and approaches.
​
5) Rest and Restore - Techniques for deep relaxation and improving sleep quality.

Course Dates, Times & Prices
The course is run one Sunday per month 9.30 am - 4.30 pm, there will be a 60-minute lunch break and plenty of mini-breaks for teas and snacks.

The course is made up of 35 hours of classroom hours with tutors, plus 15 hours of non-class hours, which includes self-practice, attending classes led by the tutors, or workshops, and completing mini assignments (no essay writing involved but we do encourage a creative journal).

The Foundation course price is £325.00, this can be paid in full or standing order of £45.00 per month with a £100.00 deposit (non-refundable).
Prerequisites or Recommendations
We would recommend that you have already attended our studio for a few sessions so that you feel settled and at home but also you are familiar with your own practice and limitations. Students signing up for the foundation course should have the desire to progress and commit to the dates above.
Certification
You will gain a certificate provided you have attended the full course and completed the mini assignments and self-practice modules for developing your yoga and meditation practice. The course is not a teaching qualification but it is Yoga Alliance Accredited and will provide an in-depth framework for those wishing to deepen their studies and practice of Yoga. This course is aimed at those wanting to study yoga but not full time and those considering becoming a yoga teacher.
